Shipping & Returns

  • Is it mandatory to have an RMA number in order to return a product to
    Yes. You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA") number within our Return or Warranty policy period. will not accept returns without prior authorization and an RMA number. Once issued, RMA numbers are valid for 14 days within which must receive returned products. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued. Customer should prominently display the RMA number(s) on the shipping label of boxes containing the returned product.

  • How long do I have to request an RMA to receive credit?
    You have 10 days after receipt in which to inspect your order and contact us if there is a problem. If there are problems with your order being damaged, please contact us immediately. If for whatever reason you wish to return your order and the 10 days has passed it will be at our disgression whether we will issue an RMA.

  • Approximately how long does it take before I see a refund credit in my account
    It takes approximately three business days to process a credit back to your credit card.

  • Approximately how long does it take to process an RMA?
    It takes 10-14 business days for us to process and re-ship or issue refund once we receive them.

  • What should I include with my RMA?
    All original items, documents, and packaging must be returned with the product in order for to process your RMA. Missing items will incur further charges or less of a refund. In most cases, when the product is sent back for RMA repair we will replace it.

  • When and Why are restocking fees applied? How much is deducted when a return is subject to a restocking fee?
    There is a restocking fee of 20% on all returns for refund, unless waived by our Customer Support agent. BirdShopper is not responsible for manufacturer defects. We are not manufacturers. We are willing to replace a defective item. If a refund is requested instead of a replacement we will charge a 20% restocking fee. Why? Claiming "defective" is the easy way out of restocking fee just because you don't want the item. If it's defective we will replace it (RMA type repair).

  • Who pays for shipping on a defective item? does not pay for the return shipping of defective merchandise. We are not responsible for factory defects because we are not a product manufacturer. Therefore, will split the shipping costs with the customer. The customer agrees to pay to send the item back to and will consequently repair or replace the item and ship it at no charge back to the shipping address specified in your account.

  • Will cross-ship replacement items?
    No. We will not ship out another item to replace an RMA item being returned without charging you for the replacement item. Once the RMA item is received we will then credit back to your credit card the cost of the RMA item.

  • I mailed my return but I still don't show it has been received. What do I do now?
    If you sent your RMA with a tracking number, check that first to make sure it has been received. It takes up to 3 business days for an RMA to process once we do receive it. If the tracking number confirms receipt, give us a day to process the RMA and call us back.

Additional Shipping Charges for Oversized Products

A small selection of our products are considered oversized by Fedex/UPS. Orders that include an oversized product will be charged at $19.95 or $24.95 depending on the size of the product (the final shipping cost will be shown at checkout).

Please Note: The shipping rates displayed on and applied at checkout are based on delivery to a street address in one of the 48 continental US states.

There will be additional shipping charges to Hawaii, Alaska, or Canada. 

Please contact us before purchasing if you require delivery to alternative destinations or PO box addresses.

Shipping Methods and Policy

Most items are shipped the same business day for orders placed before 12:00 p.m. CST, paid with credit card without complication. Orders placed during non-business hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays are normally processed and shipped the next business day. offers UPS and FedEx shipping methods. We have made it extremely easy to track your shipment during transit from UPS. When you place your order, you are given an order number. This will be followed up with an e-mail detailing your order. A shipping confirmation e-mail will be sent to you on the date your package is shipped. Regular UPS delivery hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5. We do not guarantee the arrival date of the packages. Because we are centrally located in the US, almost all locations are no more than 3 days away.

Cancellation and Combination Policy

Once you finalize your order, it is received and processed immediately within the next business hour. Therefore, changes or cancellation is very difficult. You may e-mail for cancellation; however we do not guarantee that your order will be changed or cancelled. If your order is shipped, you may refuse the package; however, you will be responsible for the shipping charges. A 20% restocking fee will be added.

Combining separate orders from the same customer with the same shipping address is sometimes possible if orders are received adjacent to one another. This works most often for orders received during the weekends and over night. If you have placed multiple orders in the same day, you may want to leave a comment in the last order to indicate a previous order. We cannot guarantee that combining orders will be done since UPS drivers pick up packages from our warehouse more than once a day.

Return for Credit Policy

We have a 30-day money back guarantee for most items. Shipping costs are NOT refundable. Any physically damaged or defaced items are not refundable. Items with missing original manufacturer packaging materials, manual, or other supporting materials will not be accepted for credit.

Procedure for Returning for Credit:
When returning items for credit, make an online return authorization first. After receiving your Return Authorization number, send the item(s) to together with a copy of the original invoice, a copy of the Return Authorization confirmation, and ALL original packaging materials. The customer is responsible for the shipping costs of returning items to us for any reason. You may send an e-mail to to alert the returns department and to check the status of your credit. You may choose store credit or refund for the credit. Please note: Regulations allow only credit to your credit card account if paid with a credit card. Credit and refunding are handled by our Credit Department, which may take 1-14 business days to confirm and complete after the goods are returned.

Shipping Discrepancy Policy

Please inspect your shipment carefully upon arrival.

If you receive a damaged, broken or defective item, contact customer service at It is important that you contact us immediately with a detailed description of what is wrong. We are needing to determine if it was a hidden damage from the manufacturer, Freight carrier damaged, or inadequate packaging. This information is important for future orders and customers as we may be able to keep it from happening again.

Incorrect Item received - If you receive an incorrect item - you will need to contact us at and inform us if you still want the correct merchandise and we will reship the correct item out regular ground at our expense and we will decide if a call tag will be issued for the incorrect item.

Damaged Item - If you receive a damaged item from any freight carrier we use - we will reship another item at no charge to you. You will need to hold onto the damaged item so the freight carrier can pick up the item. We must be contacted on shipping damages within 7 days from the date you accepted delivery, otherwise no credit will be able to be given on freight claimed damages. only has so many days from the day it was shipped to file a claim with the freight company.

Customers have 7 days from the date you accepted delivery to report any discrepancies between what was ordered and what was actually shipped, damages due to shipping, and shipping error. is not responsible for any of these problems after 7 calendar days.

Restocking Fees

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee for most items. The conditions include non-refundable items and restocking fee. Why restocking fee? We do not want to profit by selling low-quality items and pride ourselves on selecting products that are of high quality to offer to our customers. The majority of customers never return items. However, restocking fees become necessary to keep our costs and prices down. When items are returned in non-resellable conditions, we have to sell them as used and below cost. If not paid by those who returned them, the additional costs have to be "shared" by others, which we believe is not fair. We choose to keep our prices down by charging a restocking fee to non-defective, non-fault returns. We try to keep the restocking fee as low as possible and in line with the cost associated with the return.

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not refundable even if returned within the time limits:

  1. Shipping, handling, and dropshipping charges

  2. Any items that are defaced or physically damaged by end-users. We reserve the right to check the conditions of the returned items before issuing a refund.

  3. Any retail boxed items returned without the original retail box.

  4. Any items returned after 30 days.

Items with 0% Restocking Fee

  1. No restocking fee for items that are returned due to our shipping error or shipping damage. We reserve the right to confirm the error. The shipping error or damage must be reported within 7 days to

Items with 20% Restocking Fee (Must be returned in 30 days)

  1. A restocking fee is applicable whenever the return is due to "wrong item ordered," "Customer does not like the product," "Item no longer needed."

  2. Any unused item that was shipped in the original retail box.

Money & Payment Policy accepts only US currency. We offer several payment methods: Credit Cards Online, Credit Cards via Phone, Prepay with Checks and PayPal. We do not accept COD payment of any kind at this time.

Credit Cards Online: We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We do NOT charge "surcharges" for credit card transactions.

Credit card payment is authorized online in real time. You will be informed immediately if your credit card is declined. If declined, you may check the accuracy of the credit card number and expiration date, or choose a different card to try. You must provide us with a working phone number in case of problems with the order.

Credit Card via Phone: If you do not feel comfortable transmitting your credit card number and other information on the internet, we suggest you place your order by phone order, choose "Credit Card via Phone" as the payment method, and then phone in to give us your credit card number over the phone.

Pre-Pay with a Check: Pre-payment with cashier's check or money order is accepted. You can place the order online, select "Prepay w/cashier's check" as payment method, get an order number and order confirmation for the total amount of your order. The get a cashier's check or money order from your bank for the exact amount and mail the check with a copy of the order sheet to us. We'll ship your products within 1-2 business days after the check is received. Your order will be cancelled if we do not receive your payment within 10 business days. Personal checks and business checks are not accepted.

PayPal: If you pay with your PayPal account with a credit card, we would suggest to use credit card directly. PayPal orders are normally delayed for one day due to extra confirmation and verification process. Once the order is confirmed, you'll receive an automatic reply to give you instructions on how to pay through PayPal and our PayPal ID. Please use the order number as the reference (subject) of your PayPal payment for easy identification. Products will be shipped promptly only after the fund transfer has been confirmed by and the shipping address is the verified PayPal address. If your shipping address is different from what is registered with PayPal, your order will be delayed for order verification.


Please note that there may be certain orders that we are unable to accept and must cancel. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason. For your convenience, you will not be charged until your payment method is authorized, the order information is verified for accuracy and your order is complete. Some situations that may result in your order being canceled include limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department.
